2.Mmeeting at home

Hold disaster preparedness meetings at home to exchange information on a regular basis. An informed family will panic less when an earthquake actually strikes.

●Nobody knows when an earthquake will strike. To prepare thoroughly, make alternate plans for quakes that strike at different times of day or on different occasions, based on which family members are at home.

●Discuss the division of duties for each alternate plan, covering all of the following points. Remember to consider the capabilities and needs of elderly family members, infants, etc.
○Which part of the house is safest?
○Where is the evacuation area or escape route?
○Where do you keep your emergency kit for evacuations?

●Create an evacuation card with your full name, address, blood type, relatives or others to contact in case of emergency, and carry it with you at all times.
