Take part in drills and other disaster preparedness activities in your neighborhood.

●Daily training is a crucial preparation for putting out small fires and carrying out rescue activities just after an earthquake strikes. Take part in disaster preparedness drills with your whole family.
 
●September 1 is disaster preparedness day. The week from August 30 to September 5 is disaster preparedness week. Various disaster preparedness drills are held during these periods. Contact your municipality for details.
 
●One helpful way to envision the likely conditions after a disaster is to conduct a disaster preparedness drill using illustrations. Participants write out descriptions of the damage they imagine and the measures they will need to take to restore safety. These drills are also regularly held.
 
●Participate in the community disaster preparedness organization in your neighborhood and establish a local cooperative system on a daily basis.
