●The strength of a quake on the ground is expressed as "intensity." The intensity will vary, however, at the different levels of a building. It is therefore crucial that you find out how much your home or workplace will shake, based on the assumed intensity for the area.
　
●The "magnitude" indicates the size of the earthquake itself. It does not indicate the intensity (actual strength) of the tremors.
